Accenture Expands its Procurement Practice Capabilities for Private Equity Clients with Acquisition of Impendi

Global professional services company Accenture is expanding its procurement practice capabilities with acquisition of Impendi, a sourcing and procurement services provider with a focus on private equity clients.

Impendi was first founded in 2014 in New York, and operates with around 130 procurement professionals in both the USA and India.  Alongside private equity specialists, its current client base includes technology companies, manufacturing, consumer goods, financial and professional services sectors.

Impendi has a track record of working with private equity organisations to make better procurement and sourcing strategies to improve the profitability of companies in their portfolio.  Their analytics approach allows their partners to tracking spending and find other potential avenues for improvement in procurement performance to accelerate time to value with their investments.

Accenture is following a strategy of expanding their capabilities in the private equity area, by attracting more talent to address the expanding demand from private equity investors.
