IWD 2025: Celebrating the Women of PSC LIVE: Sustainability

In honour of International Women's Day and Month, Procurement Magazine is looking to celebrate all the trailblazers making waves across the industry. Recognising the women who are elevating and driving momentum for the movement. They also honour those who lead the charge in capitalising on strategic opportunities and supporting other underrepresented groups, paving the way for future generations.
Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE returned to the QEII Centre for Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: Sustainability.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear exclusive insights from women leading their organisations' sustainability efforts, including from companies like Sky, Treefera and NHS Supply Chain.
Tanya Jain, Head of UK Enterprise Business Development, Amazon Freight
Tanya is a distinguished professional with vast global experience in supply chain, logistics and manufacturing. For the past five years, she has expertly led Amazon Freight, driving innovative transportation solutions while tackling complex challenges and championing sustainability. A dedicated advocate for women in commercial leadership, Tanya is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering young women to pursue careers in this dynamic field.
In her keynote, Tanya explored how Amazon Freight is building a greener, more efficient transportation ecosystem. From low-carbon solutions to digital optimisation, discover the strategies shaping the future of sustainable freight and how businesses can adapt to drive both efficiency and environmental progress.
Megan Youngs, Scope 3 Reporting Manager, NatWest
With over six years of sustainability experience, Megan serves as the Scope 3 Reporting Manager at NatWest. She specialises in supply chain emissions reporting and decarbonisation strategies.
Prior to joining NatWest, Megan worked as a consultant delivering energy and climate solutions to diverse clients including manufacturers, retailers, hospitals and universities. Megan holds a first-class honours BA in Geography from the University of Sussex and has enhanced her expertise through the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership's Sustainable Supply Chain Management course.
In her current role, Megan focuses on reporting supply chain emissions and supplier sustainability metrics, providing colleagues with the data needed to make informed decisions. She works closely with procurement and operations teams, helping them understand Scope 3 emissions and integrate sustainability principles into their decision-making processes.
Megan appeared on The Scope 3 Strategy Forum, with other industry leaders, to discuss the complexities of managing Scope 3 emissions on a global scale. Panellists explored the challenges and opportunities of measuring and reducing emissions across vast, interconnected supply chains. Highlighting best practices, regulatory developments and collaborative approaches essential for driving meaningful progress towards net zero targets within a global context.
Edenir Nunes Chrysostali, SRM Director & Scope 3 Lead, Royal Mail Group
A seasoned leader in Supply Chain and Procurement, Edenir has over 25 years of expertise in logistics, transportation, vendor management and procurement. Her passion for sustainability drives Edenir to leverage her extensive experience and diverse background to tackle the challenges of sustainable procurement, with a particular focus on Scope 3 emissions.
Edenir's keynote saw her share practical strategies for measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions effectively. Providing insights on engaging suppliers, implementing data-driven approaches and fostering collaboration across the supply chain to drive meaningful sustainability outcomes.
Maureen O'Shea, Sustainability & Supply Chain Partner, Baringa
Maureen has 20 years industry experience in Supply Chain leadership, at local, regional and global level. In her 5 years in Consultancy, she has built out the Sustainable Supply Chain team for a Big 4 Consultancy and has come to Baringa for their deeper climate change mastery and people focus.
She has managed the Supplier Relationship function for a US$100M spend pool, building core competencies and processes; has negotiated multi-year, multi-region supply contracts and catalysed improvements in global supply chains. She believes in business led, technology enabled transformations, with people as the critical success factor for meaningful change.
Caroline Grey, Co-Founder, Chief Revenue Officer, Treefera
Caroline is driven by a passion for customer experience and the transformative power of nature-based asset data, technology and AI in supply chain resilience, risk management and decarbonisation.
A recognised leader in customer growth, Caroline brings over 20 years of experience in driving revenue expansion and forging strategic partnerships. She has held leadership roles across operations, solutions and sales, helping complex global organizations navigate change and accelerate growth.
Before co-founding Treefera, she served as Chief Customer Officer at UiPath, where she spearheaded strategic customer experience initiatives and played a key role in the company's successful $40 billion public listing in 2021.
Maureen and Caroline both sat on the Sustainable Supply Chains Panel, exploring strategies and best practices for integrating environmental responsibility into every aspect of the supply chain, driving a greener future.
Mihaela Ambrozie, VPC Head of Operations, Vodafone Procurement and Connectivity
Mihaela is a seasoned technology executive with a robust international background and a proven track record in the IT and telecommunications sectors. She embarked on her journey with Vodafone in 1998 as a Roaming Engineer in Romania. In 2009, Mihaela played a pivotal role in the start-up team at Vodafone Roaming Services, laying the foundation for the award-winning Roaming Hub, which aims to deliver an exceptional roaming experience for both operators and customers.
Since April 2022, Mihaela has been serving as the Head of Operations within Vodafone Procurement and Connectivity. In this role, she holds end-to-end accountability, overseeing everything from strategy to execution in areas such as digital capabilities, data analytics, central connectivity infrastructure and customer experience.
Mihaela took part in the Gen AI Forum, discussing how artificial intelligence is transforming the management of Scope 3 emissions. Talking about innovative AI solutions that enhance data accuracy, optimise supply chain processes and support sustainable practices in reducing environmental impact.
Natalia Pickett, Head of Procurement and Ecosystem GTM & Strategy - EMEA, KeolisAmey Docklands
Natalia Pickett is an experienced leader in procurement, technology and governance, with over 20 years in the highly regulated industries. Holding a Master's degree in Computer Science, she has led strategic initiatives across different sectors, driving innovation, sustainability and efficiency in procurement.
In her Fireside session, Natalia discussed innovative sustainable solution within KeolisAmey Docklands procurement process.
Susie Tomson, Global Head of Insight & Impact, Think Beyond
Susie is one of the world's leading proponents of sustainability in sport. She has been involved in establishing and delivering sustainability transformation across the world of sport, pioneering industry-leading sport sustainability strategies and delivery programmes and has developed carbon emission inventories and carbon reduction plans for sporting clubs, NGBs, federations and leagues.
Whilst at Think Beyond she has developed and delivered sustainability programmes for SailGP, Liverpool Football Club, World Athletics, European Athletics, World Lacrosse and St Andrews Links Trust amongst others.
In a fireside discussing how Liverpool FC transformed its supply chain, Susie was alongside Join Rishi Jain, Director of Impact at Liverpool Football Club. They discuss the club's journey from legacy supply chain practices to sustainable leadership. Exploring innovative strategies for integrating sustainability into operations, measuring impact and fostering community engagement.
Heidi Barnard, Head of Sustainability, NHS Supply Chain
As a dedicated sustainability professional, Heidi helps organisations understand their sustainability impact, drive strategic initiatives and empower teams to deliver on the NHS Net Zero and Social Value agenda. With 19 years of experience across the Manufacturing, Construction and Healthcare sectors, she specialises in developing comprehensive strategies and action plans, and excels in stakeholder collaboration.
As an IEMA Fellow, Chartered Environmentalist Full Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences, Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Managers and Chartered Waste Manager.
Heidi is passionate about mentoring teams to achieve their goals and engaging future generations in green skills and careers. She embodies sustainability as a lifestyle, committed to making conscientious choices for a sustainable future β dedicated to bringing authenticity and impact to every interaction.
Heidi took to the stage twice β first for her keynote on navigating a greener supply chain, discussing the journey toward a greener supply chain within the NHS. Covering the strategies and challenges of integrating sustainable practices in procurement, logistics and operations. Talking on how the NHS Supply Chain is innovating to reduce its environmental impact while ensuring high-quality care and efficiency in healthcare delivery.
She was also alongside Pat Durai, Group Head of Procurement - Energy, Sky, on the carbon reduction panel.
Pat is a seasoned procurement leader with 15+ years of global experience in energy, technology, property and corporate services. As Group Head of Procurement at Sky, she has been instrumental in securing strategic deals, including Sky UK recent PPAs. Pat excels in managing complex portfolios and partnering with suppliers to foster innovation.
The panel was a critical discussion on effective methods for reducing Scope 3 emissions. Sharing insights on practical approaches, emerging technologies and collaborative efforts necessary to achieve significant reductions and meet sustainability goals.
A celebration of womenβββββββ
Later this month, Procurement Magazine will publish its Top 100 Women in Procurement List. Spotlighting influential procurement leaders who are elevating the industry and spearheading investment, innovation, strategic initiatives and support for underrepresented groups.
