Dubbed ‘The Risk & Resilience Conference’ the two-day hybrid event was held on the 27th and 28th of April, featuring keynotes, roundtables, Q&As, and 1-2-1s from inspirational and knowledgeable leaders in the procurement and supply chain space.

Speaking at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: The Risk and Resilience Conference, Don Perigny, Director of Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Compliance at Werfen discussed the company’s procurement strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sharing some of his techniques and strategies used throughout the years in the medical device sector, Perigny reflects on the industry’s unique position: “We source and buy products and services, but the quality needs to consistently be there.”
Being an integral cog in the medical industry, Perigny explains that “failure was not an option. Our products are instrumental in blood gas testing, especially in oxygen. COVID-infected people require constantly updated oxygen testing to be treated. This was a big responsibility, one which we took very seriously.”
