JAGGAER: Leading by Example in Sustainable Procurement

ESG commitments may have been knocked by the political headwinds that challenge its foundational principles, but JAGGAER is one firm that prides itself on its progress.
With its latest ESG report, the enterprise procurement and supplier collaboration specialist showcases how it is leading the procurement sector by example on sustainability.
This year's report focuses on how the company embeds sustainability across its source-to-pay (S2P) solutions and internal operations to empower strategic cost reductions, 360° risk management and sustainable growth.
While anticipating the needs of its customers, JAGGAER also carried out preparatory work for a Double Materiality Assessment, a key element in the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and a measure of accountability that signals a shift towards a more comprehensive understanding of both exposure to sustainability-related financial risks and broader impact on society and the environment.
Andrew Roszko, CEO at JAGGAER, says: "With a mission to guide the procurement and supply chain function into the future, at JAGGAER we practice what we preach. We experience first-hand the insights, transparency and strategic intelligence that our solutions provide businesses as they strive to manage risk, stay compliant and thrive.
"This report not only provides us with a critical benchmark for our environmental stewardship and role in the world but also reveals the breadth of intelligence available to support companies as they try to extract strategic data to cut costs, navigate volatile markets and stay competitive."
JAGGAER recently received a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 5% of all companies evaluated and within the top 1% among its industry peers.
Cutting carbon footprint
JAGGAER is able to demonstrate strong ESG performance – including significant environmental and social gains – according to its impact report, which covers 2024 performance.
For the fourth consecutive year, JAGGAER has tracked and reported its greenhouse gas emissions, delivering results which show genuine environmental commitment. The company achieved a 25% reduction in both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and slashed Scope 3 by 43% compared to its 2021 baseline.
These reductions stem from strategic operational changes, including migration to AWS cloud infrastructure and enhanced data accuracy in emissions tracking.
What's more, the company has embedded environmental responsibility into daily operations through digital collaboration tools, hybrid work arrangements, paperless processes and comprehensive waste reduction programmes featuring recycling and reusable container initiatives.
Beyond reducing its own footprint, JAGGAER has invested in broader environmental restoration through its partnership with Reforest'Action. It has contributed to reforestation projects in multiple countries, financing the planting of over 10,370 trees since 2019, which are expected to offset 1,556 tonnes of CO2e over 30 years.
Building an inclusive workforce
As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, JAGGAER upholds its principles, ensuring non-discrimination and equal treatment based on merit and job requirements.
In line with its commitment, the report reveals that, in 2024, women made up 41.8% of JAGGAER's global workforce and held 36.1% of management positions.
Employee wellbeing remains central to JAGGAER's social impact strategy. The company delivered wellness programmes and mental health workshops across all operating regions whilst preserving flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance. This commitment to employee satisfaction has earned external recognition, including the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 award in the UK and Gallagher's Best-In-Class Employer award for North America.
JAGGAER employees also contributed more than 380 volunteer hours to local service projects.
Governance excellence through strategic oversight
JAGGAER's ESG Steering Committee maintained regular quarterly meetings throughout 2024 to ensure consistent policy alignment and strategic focus. Data privacy and information security emerged as primary governance priorities, leading the company to achieve industry-leading AI management and security certifications along with comprehensive compliance frameworks.
The company's commitment to governance excellence is reflected in employee engagement metrics, with 100% of staff completing mandatory compliance training programmes. Additionally, JAGGAER leveraged the EcoVadis Carbon Action Module to assess its supply chain, finding that 71% of high-spend and critical suppliers present low greenhouse gas emissions risk, validating the company's supplier selection and management processes.
A raft of comprehensive ESG achievements position JAGGAER as a leader not only in procurement technology, but also in demonstrating how enterprise organisations can drive meaningful environmental and social impact whilst maintaining strong governance standards.
