JAGGAER: Driving Business Growth for Betsson Group

JAGGAER has announced the successful delivery of a procurement digitalisation project with Betsson Group, in an attempt to approve operations.
As procurement teams around the world face growing pressure to modernise and digitise, Betsson Group has turned to JAGGAER for help.
Through this project, the betting company has undergone procurement and digital transformation, witnessing significant gains.
Modernising procurement
JAGGAER is a global leader in enterprise procurement and supplier collaboration, helping organisations to manage and automate complex processes. With its AI-powered industry-specific solutions, JAGGAER has helped with the procurement transformation of companies around the world.
The company has 30 years of helping customers with innovations across their procurement functions. Its complete source-to-pay AI-powered solution helps boost business outcomes, with greater speed and efficiency across operations.
Its latest project has been the procurement digitalisation of Betsson Group, a global sports betting and gaming operator. Betsson operates across 24 jurisdictions, within a highly regulated environment. As a result, it needs to be agile and compliant, meeting the regulation of each region it works in.
To do this, it needs to have a strong procurement framework that has flexibility embedded into it. Betsson has been working to strengthen its procurement governance in order to undergo scalable and compliant growth.
Fabio Palusci, Procurement Director at Betsson Group, has led the company's structured digital transformation programme. The aim of this programme is to streamline internal processes, enhance accessibility of information and improve budget visibility across the whole organisation.
“In our industry, speed and accuracy are essential. Ensuring strong internal controls and full compliance is a critical part of enabling sustainable growth,” explains Fabio.

Growth in efficiency
After a formal request for proposal (RFP) process, Betsson opted to use JAGGAER One to support its budget-to-pay lifecycle. This is JAGGAER's intelligent source-to-pay platform - an intelligent and collaborative platform that helps drive savings and smarter decisions. This solution offers a more transparent operating model, with more consistency across systems. It provides more unified workflows, with real-time and reliable information to internal stakeholders.
Fabio adds: “Access to accurate, up-to-date data is fundamental for informed decision-making. This digitalisation work is part of our continuous efforts to improve how we manage information flows and support the wider business.”
JAGGAER eProcurement, Contracts+, and Contracts AI has ensured Betsson's contract governance stays up to date and of high quality. Through this, any agreements and obligations under the company are consolidated in a central system, meaning there is a unity of information without fragmentation. Following this, supplier management processes have become more structured, with more support across security checks, due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
“Working with Betsson Group has been characterised by strong collaboration from the very early stages of the project,” explains Bob O’Leary, SVP Sales Europe at JAGGAER
“Betsson Group’s transformation clearly demonstrates how structured governance, advanced digital tools, and strong leadership can elevate procurement from a transactional function to a true business value enabler.”
Already, the project has demonstrated clear and measurable results. Betsson manages more than €130m (US$153.9m) in spend across more than 6,000 purchase orders, with full budget traceability across all operations. The partnership has helped oversee the centralisation of more than 2,000 active contracts, which are now also fully transparent.
Moreover, more than 300 supplier onboarding requests have undergone validation through structured workflows, which has taken place between Betsson's procurement and legal teams. As a result, the operations for the company have seen an increase in efficiency and transparency, reducing risk through data oversights.
Betsson will be undertaking further procurement transformation in the future, with plans to explore how automation and AI-supported insights can further enhance efficiency.
“Artificial intelligence should support human expertise, not replace it,” Fabio concludes.
“Our goal is to free up time from repetitive tasks so we can focus on strategic initiatives where human judgment truly makes the difference. With JAGGAER as our technology partner, we have strengthened transparency, compliance and operational agility, laying solid foundations for sustainable long-term growth.”
Having already seen increases to its operational speed, governance and transparency, Betsson's work with JAGGAER has seemingly paid off. Looking ahead, the company may see further global expansion.
