Oracle, a specialist in procurement and supply chain technology, has released new AI capabilities to drive greater global efficiency

Furthering its efforts to help organisations increase efficiency and sustainability, Oracle is introducing new AI-powered logistics and order management capabilities into the Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). 

These latest updates are set to help organisations improve customer satisfaction, increase shipment visibility, lower trading costs, enhance transportation decision-making and reduce shipment-related emissions.

With these new AI capabilities, Oracles updates will include order transport management, global trade management and order management. 

Oracle Transportation Management:

  • AI-powered route predictions to help transportation managers predict optimal arrival times, avoid congestion and prevent customs delays.  
  • AI-powered transit time predictions to improve shipment planning and reduce costs associated with delays. 
  • Emissions calculator to identify more sustainable and energy-efficient shipping routes.

Oracle Global Trade Management:

  • Trade incentive programme processing relief to better utilise duty drawback programmes and mitigate the impact of tariffs on the supply chain.
  • Trade incentive programme reporting to reduce costs by quickly generating data and reports needed.

Oracle Order Management:

  • AI-generated returns summary to provide timely and accurate status updates for returned orders. 
  • AI-generated pricing promotions summary to help communicate consistent descriptions of promotional details. 
  • Item availability checks to help reduce order delays and improve customer services by simulating shipment and delivery methods. 
  • Order fulfilment view to help reduce customer response times and provide a more precise order delivery date and visibility into delays and clearance issues.
