Scope 3 strategies

Scope 3 - a vital, yet often overlooked - topic in both the procurement and supply chain industries.

Comprising indirect emissions from the entire value chain, supplier operations and product use, Scope 3 emissions often make up for most of a company’s carbon footprint.

Because of this, organisations need to begin to tackle this significant matter to achieve climate goals, comply with evolving regulations and strengthen stakeholder and consumer relationships.

Not only does understanding Scope 3 allow organisations to drive more responsible sourcing practices by discovering key areas for sustainability improvements, but can also catalyse a chain reaction of decarbonisation throughout the supply chain as suppliers begin to strive to embrace greener practices.

By tackling Scope 3 emissions, organisations can secure their position as trailblazers in the procurement, supply chain and sustainability industries and discover opportunities to craft long-term resilience and a competitive advantage.
