How EcoVadis & Coupa are Making Purchasing More Sustainable
EcoVadis, the globally trusted sustainability intelligence platform, has announced it will offer a Coupa Connector in the Coupa App Marketplace.
This tool will seamlessly synchronise EcoVadis sustainability ratings and risk profile data with each supplier's Coupa profile, making it even easier for buyers to make strategic purchasing and supplier relationship management decisions based on a supplier's sustainability risk, performance and maturity.
The integration enables mutual customers to drive strategic purchasing and supplier relationship management decisions more efficiently on the Coupa platform.
Analyse sustainability insights
Through a study of buyers and suppliers across the globe, it found that digital integration is a proven accelerator of sustainability-enhanced decisions, value and impact. Programmes with these high integrations are three to four times more likely to have strategic-level engagement with those all-important C-suite decision makers.
Through the Coupa Connector integrations of EcoVadis' Ratings and IQ Plus data directly into the Coupa platform, it will give users the chance to analyse sustainability insights, as well as make requests for supplier ratings and IQ risk profiles — directly from their Coupa interface.
This gives the users the empowerment to make decisions more tactically and strategically, which, over time, will lead to deeper supplier engagement and scale their potential for sustainable impact.
EcoVadis Ratings data is based on validated deep-dive assessments of 130,000+ companies in 220+ industries. IQ Plus data is based on inherent risk assessments and contactless AI data mining of more than two million companies worldwide.
More critical than ever
"With the need for more intelligence to comply with an ever-evolving regulatory and risk landscape, an authoritative source of truth for sustainability – easily managed at scale – is more critical than ever," says Nigel Pegg, SVP of Platform at Coupa.
"Having EcoVadis on the Coupa App Marketplace will give our customers an efficient and cost-effective way to gain greater insights across their supply chain and all sustainability dimensions."
Coupa certified the Connector for use within its total spend management platform. The Connector, which was built by Accenture, meets the requirements established by Coupa through its App Marketplace Partner Programme.
Critical sustainability data for procurement teams
It enables software partners to build complementary solutions that easily connect to the Coupa platform. Customers benefit by extending the capabilities of their spend management platform and solving unique business challenges — all while reducing the cost of third-party software integrations.
Annette Gevaert, SVP of Alliances at EcoVadis, adds: "The Coupa Connector puts critical sustainability data in the places where procurement teams do their day-to-day work.
"This allows customers using Coupa as their total spend management solution to see the data from EcoVadis where they actually need them to make sustainable procurement the new company norm."
"Our close relationship with Coupa will further help customers transform their procurement processes so they can play a leading role in their sustainability transformations."
