Vodafone Procure & Connect has selected Nomia, the end-to-end tail spend management platform, to boost efficiency and provide measurable ROI

Nomia, the end-to-end tail spend management platform, has been selected by Vodafone Procure & Connect to transform the way it handles non-strategic spend across its global operations, combining the speed and efficiency of AI with expert human insights.

Vodafone Procure & Connect – The Vodafone Group's unified Procurement Company and Roaming Services division – is bidding to simplify and enhance the services being offered to customers in these vital areas.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, it is trusted a supply chain and connectivity partner to some of the world's largest businesses, managing €21bn in annual procurement spend.

Ninian Wilson, Global Supply Chain Director at Vodafone and CEO of Vodafone Procure & Connect, says: "Tail spend can be fragmented and complex to manage. Nomia gives us the confidence that we're managing it with the right level of oversight, compliance and governance.

"It's about applying greater rigour to sometimes overlooked areas of procurement that can't and shouldn't be ignored."

AI-driven approach delivers measurable cost savings

Industry benchmarks have shown that a strategic approach to tail spend can drive numerous benefits, including significant cost savings, improved data accuracy and reduced duplication, as well as changing the behaviour of the buyer, consolidating suppliers and increasing purchasing power.

Such improvements boost operational efficiency and contribute to measurable ROI and better audit performance.

Nick Petheram, Founder, Chairman and CEO at Nomia, adds: "For global organisations, tail spend isn't just a procurement challenge, it's a question of control.

"This partnership puts that control into their hands, with transparent data, standardised processes and the confidence that every transaction, however small, is fully compliant and strategically managed.

"It also enables Vodafone to drive innovation by tapping into specialist suppliers, uncovering new insights, and making faster, smarter decisions."

Nomia is set to act as an extension of Vodafone's procurement team, bringing greater consistency, agility, visibility and resilience to tail spend.

Investment in future infrastructure supports expansion plans

Earlier in 2025, Vodafone began construction of its new pan-European logistics hub in Luxembourg.

The ceremonial installation of the first structural column marked the beginning of what promises to be a game-changing 36,000-square-metre facility, scheduled to become operational in early 2026.

The strategic investment represents a fundamental shift in how Vodafone approaches procurement and supply chain management across its European operations, offering procurement professionals a blueprint for centralised logistics excellence.
