How Vodafone Procure & Connect Will Enhance Customer Service

The Vodafone Group has unified its Procurement Company and Voice and Roaming Services divisions under a new brand: Vodafone Procure & Connect. The move is set to simplify and enhance the services being offered to customers in these important areas.
Recognised as a leader in exceptional procurement value, the Vodafone Procurement Company manages an annual spend of €19bn (US$20.7bn) for Vodafone's operating companies, partner markets, joint ventures and third-party companies, working with 8,000 global suppliers.
Vodafone Voice and Roaming Services, meanwhile, is one of the world's leading global providers of services that enable mobile customers to roam onto other networks, not to mention businesses and individuals to make and receive voice calls across international borders.
It collaborates with more than 700 mobile network partners. The company manages around €1.5 billion (approx US$1.6bn) in roaming and voice trading volume annually and 25 billion voice minutes.
Strategic transformation for enhanced service delivery
Unification of the Procurement Company and Voice and Roaming Services will create a trusted partner for procurement, logistics and voice and roaming services based in Luxembourg, supporting both Vodafone and third-party customers.
Vodafone Procure & Connect's product and services portfolio includes:
1. Managed procurement services, which provide expertise and digital tools to ensure competitive costs, enhanced efficiency and which leverage data insights to enable smart decisions;
2. Design-to-cost, a tailored cost engineering programme for companies buying hardware, software and services, delivering cost insights and value optimisation with a further focus on risk and sustainability management;
3. Sponsored roaming, offering instant access to Vodafone's global roaming footprint, thereby providing mobile operators with full roaming coverage for their customers;
4. Managed roaming to provide comprehensive management of a customer's roaming platforms and services, allowing them to improve revenues and achieve cost efficiencies;
5. International voice and international packet exchange services, to facilitate the secure, cost-effective exchange of voice, data and messaging traffic between mobile operators leveraging advanced fraud protection; and maritime mobility, providing hybrid communication systems for vessels through near-shore 4G/5G broadband.
