Myton Food Group launches Myton International, a dedicated global sourcing division to bridge the gap between international manufacturers and the UK market

With a proud legacy of buying from highly valued suppliers and a passion for quality, Myton Food Group has been an innovative and forward-thinking organisation from day one.

Rooted in the Morrisons Supermarket business, Myton Food Group packs and processes fresh meats and fish, savoury and sweet pies, fruit and veg, flower bouquets, bread and more.

Working with farmers for generations, Myton Food Group works closely with its 2,700 farmers and livestock supply chain to share knowledge and good practices to produce stronger relationships, more consistent supply, reduce waste and increase yield.

The launch comes at a pivotal moment for UK grocery sourcing.

According to Kantar Worldpanel, supermarkets' own-label lines made up 51.2% of all UK grocery sales in September 2025, up from 50.9% a year earlier, with own-label sales growing faster than branded goods.

Premium own-label ranges also stand out, with sales rising by double digits for six consecutive months. Over the Christmas period, premium own-label sales grew 9% year-on-year, taking a 7.5% share of overall spend and passing £1bn in a single month for the first time.

Against this backdrop, retailers and food service operators are looking for fewer, more strategic manufacturing and sourcing partners who can offer scale, consistency and category expertise, rather than a fragmented list of suppliers.

Introducing Myton International

Leaning into Myton Food Group’s established manufacturing capability and vast network, the group has launched Myton International, a dedicated global product sourcing division designed to bridge the gap between international manufacturers and the UK retail, food service and B2B markets.

Uniquely positioned to bring world-class products to the UK market, Myton International's goal is to provide a seamless, end-to-end sourcing function that delivers both innovation and value to its partners.

Retailers are placing growing weight on partners who can demonstrate this rigour at scale, and Myton International is designed to meet that expectation as a single, accountable point of contact rather than a network of disconnected suppliers.

"We saw an opportunity to leverage our extensive supply base, broad manufacturing capability, and well-developed logistics network that meet our customers' and their consumers' needs, such as vital cost savings and quality improvements," says Chris Strong, General Manager for Myton International.

"Our success will be defined by becoming a strategic, trusted partner that fuels the growth of our retail and food service customers through a broad range of innovative products that deliver clear category value."

With premium own-label now driving a significant share of UK grocery growth, according to Kantar, and retailers continuing to expand their own-brand ranges to meet shopper expectations, Myton International's launch positions the group to compete directly in this space.
