Kimberly-Clark, Deliveroo, Glencore and Tyson Foods are among the winners of Coupa's Trendsetter Award, driving innovation with AI-driven spend management

Leading platform for autonomous spend management, Coupa, has announced the winners of its 2026 Trendsetter Awards, recognising nine customers for advancing innovation, strengthening financial discipline and delivering measurable outcomes through Coupa’s AI-native platform.

The annual Trendsetter Awards celebrates those organisations that are using real‑time intelligence and data‑driven decision making to strengthen performance, achieve resilience and tighten execution at scale. This year’s winners span industries and regions, highlighting how leading organisations are turning spend visibility into measurable business outcomes in increasingly complex operating environments.

“Our 2026 Trendsetters demonstrate what’s possible when organisations combine clear strategy with the ability to act on better data,” says John Frank, Chief Customer Officer at Coupa.

“These customers aren’t just modernising processes, they’re combining the power of US$9.5tn of community-generated data and agentic AI to make smarter and more informed decisions, rewrite their operating and workforce models and deliver tremendous business value and outcomes.

“We’re both proud and excited to be partnering on this journey with them.”

Championing global spend visibility

Coupa Trendsetter of the Year: Kimberly-Clark

Kimberly-Clark deployed Coupa globally across more than 35,000 employees and 90% of suppliers, managing US$14.0bn in PO spend, US$8.5bn in invoicing and executing more than 17,000 sourcing optimisation events to date, while expanding direct spend capabilities with CSO and SCDP.

“Our focus has been on building a more connected, data-driven approach to managing our spend and supply chain globally,” says Jeff Markey, VP Digital Transformation at Kimberly-Clark.

“With Coupa, we’ve been able to scale that vision, improving visibility, driving smarter sourcing decisions, and creating a more agile foundation for continued growth.”

Achieving operational excellence through AI

AI Transformation Winner: Deliveroo

Deliveroo fundamentally restructured its procurement operations by embedding AI to capture £56m (US$75.8m) in total savings.

The organisation achieved a 40% improvement in sourcing optimisation, accounting for £14m (US$18.9m) of that total, while simultaneously modernising its back-office efficiency. Notable milestones include transitioning touchless invoicing from zero to 72%, reducing supplier onboarding times by 50% and establishing a new gold standard for compliant buying across the enterprise.

Financial Excellence Winner: Glencore

Glencore established a massive, unified global procurement environment that spans 80 business units across five continents and seven languages.

Since 2018, the team has managed over US$25bn in spend, including US$9bn in the last 12 months, supporting more than 45,000 suppliers. High-performing business units within the group now see 100% electronic invoicing, a 98% first-time match rate and up to 96% on-contract purchasing.

Supply Chain AI Transformation Winner: Tyson Foods

Tyson Foods integrated AI-driven scenario modelling to sharpen supply chain decision-making and logistics fluidity.

This strategic implementation allowed the team to streamline its entire logistics network, resulting in a meaningful and measurable reduction in total logistics expenditure.

Scaling regional innovation and impact

  • North America | Ping Identity: Ping Identity leveraged specialised AI solutions such as SpendGuard and InvoiceSmash to enable end-to-end Source-to-Pay automation. This digital overhaul is set to double the total output of the Business Services function without a proportional increase in resources.
  • EMEA | Rolls-Royce plc: Rolls-Royce plc successfully standardised its global procurement operations to manage approximately US$4bn in annual spend. Through this rigorous alignment, the company now maintains an impressive on-contract coverage rate exceeding 80%.
  • APAC | Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd: Operating across 141 companies in 30 countries, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries utilised AI to audit and analyse more than 100,000 monthly transactions. This automated oversight directly contributed to a 6.9% reduction in indirect spend.
  • LATAM | XP Inc.: XP Inc. transformed its procurement department into a vital engine for growth, successfully managing 99% of addressable spend. This was achieved while the business scaled its operations dozens of times over, remarkably maintaining flat non-headcount operating expenses throughout the expansion.

Societal Impact Winner: Neighborhood Healthcare

Neighborhood Healthcare prioritised financial visibility and working capital management to generate US$500,000 through rebates and early payment discounts. These captured funds were immediately reinvested into the organisation’s core mission, directly expanding patient services and increasing the health centre's positive impact on the community.
