Amid an ongoing period of global volatility, Coupa has helped drive more than US$14bn in savings for some of the biggest companies operating in EMEA

Coupa, the leading AI-powered platform for total spend management, has helped deliver more than US$14bn in savings over the past year for leading companies in the EMEA region.

Reaching the milestone is especially significant given today's business climate, with companies operating in the most volatile economic conditions seen for decades.

Businesses are contending with inflation, tariffs, supply chain disruption and ESG regulations that are eroding margins and forcing leaders to find new ways to grow.

JoĆ£o Paulo da Silva, Regional President EMEA & APAC at Coupa, says: "Every euro and pound counts right now. The organisations that thrive are the ones that know exactly where their money is going and can make smarter decisions, faster.

"It is not about buying cheaper but sourcing and managing intelligently. With AI, automation and the collective intelligence of thousands of global customers, Coupa helps companies transform spend visibility into measurable savings, resilience and growth."

Coupa processes nearly half a trillion in annual spend

Over the past 12 months, Coupa has managed spend transactions totalling more than US$472bn for companies in EMEA, showcasing how vital tools like AI and machine learning are for commercial success.

The procurement technology trailblazer also formed 162 new and expanded customer relationships in H1 FY26.

But it's about more than numbers. Coupa believes the data demonstrates a fundamental shift in how growth is achieved. It says that, across Europe, leaders are redefining growth through faster adaptation and wiser investments.

In support of this shift, Coupa is the tool bringing together finance, procurement and supply chain on a single, AI-native platform, creating four key growth opportunities:

1. Turning everyday spending into a strategic advantage

Coupa's source-to-pay platform transforms everyday transactions into a source of competitive advantage, bringing visibility, control and compliance across spend categories.

Its work with Deliveroo highlights this. As the food delivery giant scaled rapidly across markets, fragmented procurement processes led to spend leakage and slow decision-making. With Coupa, Deliveroo was able to harness centralised procurement on a single platform, gain real-time visibility across markets and embed compliance into its operations.

It transformed the way procurement was viewed – from a back-office function to a driver of growth.

Speaking to Procurement Magazine, Rob Turner, CPO at Deliveroo, revealed the business adopted an ā€œout-of-the-boxā€ Coupa configuration for 94% of the build, which was part of a strategy to ā€œembrace simpler, more scalable ways of workingā€.

Coupa now delivers a single source of truth, lifecycle transparency and readiness for new developments.

ā€œThis now forms the core platform foundation that we can build on – adding supplier risk monitoring, better onboarding, contract discovery, SaaS licence management… all in one environment,ā€ Rob adds.

2: Building supply chain resilience from the ground up

Helping companies such as Aldi Süd, Nestlé and Schneider Electric, Coupa's design-to-pay solution gives companies the ability to balance both efficiency with resilience and sustainability: modelling supply chain, benchmarking suppliers and building resilience.

#3: Unifying finance and GTM operations for agility

Coupa's ability to unify speed and control gives finance leaders and procurement teams a single source of truth for spend – a vital tool for companies growing at speed.

For example, as Revolut sought to expand into more than 20 countries, it encountered obstacles including slow, fragmented requisition workflows and compliance risks.

The company now manages 80% of its global spend through Coupa, supporting more than 1,000 users across the world.

This unified system has given the company visibility and control to strengthen its financial oversight, ensure global compliance and build a scalable foundation for continued growth.

Lauren Richards, Global Head of Procurement at Revolut, says: "This transformation positions us to scale efficiently while maintaining the innovation and agility that defines Revolut."

#4: AI: Turning AI-driven intelligence into better business outcomes and growth

Coupa maintains its AI-native tools, which work across sourcing, contract intelligence, fraud detection and supply chain modelling, give companies the ability to shift their mindset from reactive to proactive, enhancing decision-making and delivering better business outcomes.

By reviewing more than US$8tn in spend data and insights from at least 10 million suppliers, Coupa's AI gives leaders the ability to turn intelligence into profitable actions.

Take Uber, which used Coupa's AI to analyse sourcing opportunities across its global operations.

With Coupa's AI-powered benchmarks, Uber identified US$24.6m in sourcing efficiencies, accelerating a path to savings while continuing its rapid international growth.
