Amazon Business is set to unveil a number of new AI-powered solutions designed to help businesses uncover savings and automate routine tasks – all while making spending easier and more efficient.

The tools are being presented at Amazon Business Reshape 2025 in Seattle, with Amazon Business Assistant being the headline act.

All the newly-released capabilities are powered by Amazon Bedrock, AWS' fully-managed service for building and scaling generative AI applications, and represent the next step in Amazon Business' smart business buying journey.

A smarter buying experience

Amazon Business aims to bring together the best of what Amazon has to offer: everyday low prices, vast selection and a convenient shopping and delivery experience.

This complements a diverse network, a reliable and adaptable global logistics system, customisable workflow features and intelligent automation tools to meet the needs of all organisations – including 97 of the Fortune 100 companies and hundreds of thousands of small business customers worldwide.

Shelley Salomon, Vice President of Amazon Business, says: "For over a decade, we've redefined how organisations manage purchasing by delivering a faster, smarter and more transparent buying experience. Amazon Business combines vast selection and competitive pricing with enterprise-grade tools – multi-user accounts, approval workflows and deep analytics – to help companies manage business buying and operate more efficiently.

“Now, with new, AI-enhanced tools, we're empowering organisations to reduce costs, make data-driven buying decisions and get support when and where they need it."

Transforming business buying

All Amazon Business users can now harness the power of Amazon Business Assistant, which combines Amazon's deep understanding of purchasing with smart conversational support to provide organisations with instant, interactive and easy-to-follow recommendations on using and configuring an Amazon Business account.

The assistant also recommends better business practices, such as making buying more efficient using past purchase history, while continuing to learn over time through user interactions and feedback ratings. Tools appear on pages where there is an opportunity to make purchases easier or more efficient.

Amazon Business will also announce that Business Prime users will have access to Savings Insights, an analytics tool which will help businesses reduce the time it takes to uncover buying trends and discover savings. This AI-enabled capability analyses purchase history, pricing patterns and account settings to make recommendations via an easy-to-read, ready-to-use dashboard.

Then there’s the Spend Anomaly Monitoring tool, which enables US businesses with a Prime Enterprise plan to be automatically notified and manage unusual purchasing patterns. This will allow administrators to more efficiently oversee the purchasing of their companies without having to place restrictive controls.

A dashboard provides analysis of past purchases, pricing and account settings, and alerts administrators about potential irregularities in four key areas: orders from rarely purchased categories; irregular repurchases of items; excessive daily spend patterns; and split purchases that may bypass approval thresholds.

Industry-specific solutions

Amazon Business will also announce that, working alongside AWS and Deloitte, it is creating two new intelligent solutions to optimise industrial business buying and sourcing operations.

Powered by Deloitte's IntelligentOps platform and leveraging Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker AI, these solutions enable organisations to transition from reactive responses to proactive strategic planning. By combining Amazon's logistics experience, AWS' AI infrastructure and Deloitte's sector expertise, these industry-tailored solutions are set to transform business sourcing through AI-driven forecasting in the manufacturing and energy industries.

Rolling out to selected manufacturers in early 2026, the capability is designed to detect patterns and forecast potential parts shortages and inventory challenges before they occur.

The manufacturing solution employs AI agents to streamline order processing, supplier quality monitoring and demand prediction, enhancing visibility and operational control. When the system identifies a potential disruption, it notifies manufacturers and suggests corrective actions – such as redistributing current inventory or accelerating shipments of compatible components – to prevent production interruptions.

Expansion to additional industrial sectors will follow later in the year. Through their Amazon Business accounts, plant managers can access the dashboard to oversee orders, assess material requirements and develop proactive production schedules.

Set to launch for US utility companies in early 2026, the power utility asset management solution will strengthen grid dependability and resilience using AI diagnostics, geospatial mapping and predictive analytics.

The platform will communicate material replacement schedules and vegetation management requirements to utility providers and Amazon Business to accelerate fulfilment and asset renewal.

This methodology allows power utilities to anticipate and meet material demands through Amazon Business, reducing response times, elevating customer service quality and helping prevent unplanned outages – particularly after severe weather incidents.

These AI solutions mark a transformative advancement in operational efficiency and reliability for industrial manufacturers and utility companies. As the platforms mature and reach additional sectors, they will enable organisations to make data-informed decisions, deliver superior customer experiences and develop more resilient business operations.
