Accelerating Progress Towards The UN Sustainable Development Goals

Speaking at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE New York 2023, David Latten, Head Of Global Indirect Procurement and Supplier Diversity & Equality at Logitech discussed the urgency of accelerating progress towards the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Addressing the role of businesses in promoting sustainable practices and the importance of setting and achieving ambitious sustainability goals, Latten highlights the practical steps to prioritise sustainable procurement.

“The 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. They provide an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership [...] approximately 75% of the participants are under 30 years of age and the SDGs are the blueprint for their future,” says Latten.

“We need action from everyone everywhere. They are a to do list for people and the planet and a blueprint for success. The global goals were created over seven years ago now, and we are halfway to the 2030 goal deadline."
