Unleashing the Potential for Success

Kickstarting Day two of Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE for Stage 1, Adrian Oyekanmi, SVP of Global Strategic Sourcing at Radisson Hotel Group discusses strategies for success in strategic sourcing.

Transformation and comprehensive planning

Addressing the audience, Oyekanmi reflects on his experience in overseeing the transformation of the organisations he has worked for, emphasising the importance of comprehensive planning.

He breaks down the significance of assessing the current state of affairs, making strategic choices, and implementing key plan elements as part of the process.  He also highlights the need to engage stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organisation’s goals and vision.

“I do think that communication is an extremely important pillar. You can't communicate enough often, repeat yourself, keep saying the same thing in different ways,” said Oyekanmi.

Building resilience and adaptability

Advocating for resilience and adaptability, Oyekanmi explains that these are fundamental when it comes to facing unforeseen challenges.

"Be able to adapt, be able to pivot, there are key ingredients to build resilience,” said Oyekanmi.

He goes on to share insights on how Radisson Hotel Group’s plans and strategies have evolved post-COVID-19, emphasising the importance of flexibility and agility.
