AB-InBev & Accenture discuss supply chain sustainability

Speaking at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE 2022, AB In-Bev’s Mauricio Coindreau and Accenture’s Nedra L. Dickson discuss supply chain sustainability

April 2022, Procurement Magazine, Supply Chain Digital and Bizclik Media Group returned to the Tobacco Dock (London) to host our second Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE.

Dubbed ‘The Risk & Resilience Conference’ the two-day hybrid event was held on the 27th and 28th of April, featuring keynotes, roundtables, Q&As, and 1-2-1s from inspirational and knowledgeable leaders in the procurement and supply chain space.

Supply chain sustainability

Speaking at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: The Risk & Resilience Conference 2022, Mauricio Coindreau, Head of Procurement & Sustainability at AB-InBev and Nedra L. Dickson, Global Supplier Inclusion & Sustainability Lead at Accenture discussed supply chain sustainability.

During their fireside chat, Coindreau and Dickson covered an wide range of sustainability topics from innovative design and packaging, to ESG, Scope 1-3, scoreboards, benchmarking, and the war on waste (WOW).

Kick-starting the chat, Coindreau reflects on the integration of sustainability into organisations and how it is being seen as mission-critical. “I would say it goes further than that. I would say it's survival critical not only for us as humans, but for companies if they want to adapt and really survive the next generation of challenges that comes ahead.”

He continues: “The disruptions we've seen through COVID-19 and through everything else that is going on in the world, this is nothing that I've ever experienced in my career. We're seeing congestions in all types of transport, delays in lead time from machinery and raw materials, and of course prices are going up throughout the supply chain. This is obviously having an impact on sustainability efforts.”
