P&G Honours Suppliers Driving Excellence in Supply Chains
P&G celebrates its diverse network of external business partners (EBP) by awarding the Partner of the Year Award to those who have made exceptional contributions to the company's success and consumer satisfaction. Five suppliers received the Supplier Impact Award for their contributions to environmental sustainability, equality and inclusion.
Celebrating supplier excellence
Businesses receiving this award have gone above and beyond in delivering sustained value to P&G and the customers it serves. The five businesses are DSM-Firmenich, Impacta SA Industria & Comercio, Jones Lang LaSalle, Nippon Shokubai Co., and Yamada Electric, all recognised for their key contributions in the areas of environmental sustainability and equality and inclusion, which are fundamental to marketplace success.
The award highlights the importance of selecting and managing suppliers effectively. P&G's recognition of suppliers who go above and beyond underscores the strategic importance of procurement in building strong supplier relationships and ensuring reliable and high-quality supply chains.
Procurement plays a critical role in optimising the value chain. Effective procurement practices contribute to cost savings, efficiency improvements, and innovation throughout the supply chain, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of the business.
Impactful partnerships
Contributions from P&G’s external business partners (EBP), which number over 60,000, may not always be apparent to those who use P&G brands, which include the likes of Tide, Pampers, and Gillette. These suppliers who have been awarded provide essential materials, packaging, equipment, transportation, contract manufacturing, and logistics, as well as IT, capital, marketing, and other services enabling P&G to delight and serve consumers around the world every day.
Together they are creating an integrated, agile, and robust supply network where P&G, customers, physical distribution partners, and suppliers interact seamlessly and efficiently to serve consumers. Together with its partners, the company can have an even larger, positive impact on the communities where it operates in service to the world’s consumers.
These businesses include A.P. Moller – Maersk, Alpla, Carat North America, Green Bay Packaging, Gulsan, HAYCO, Hood Container Corporation, IFF H&B, Ronchi Mario SPA, Sandler AG, Shandong Tianli Pharmaceutical, and Yamada Electric Ind.
Ana Elena Marziano, P&G Chief Purchasing Officer, says: “These companies have been among the very best in delivering sustained and exceptional contributions, and we celebrate them for being integral members of our supply ecosystem.
“The partnership and collaboration with our supply ecosystem are essential to win – we innovate, solve problems and grow our mutual business interests, together. These Business Partners enabled us to service all of our stakeholders better than anyone else, and we thank them for that.”
