Why Ivalua is a Pioneer in Generative AI Adoption

Ivalua has been recognised as a Market Leader in Ardent Partners’ 2025 Supplier Management Technology Advisor list, which evaluates the top supplier management solutions on the market.
Ardent places the spend management specialist in the Market Leader Quadrant based on two central factors: provider strength and solution strength.
The research and advisory firm defines Market Leaders as those that combine broad capability across offerings with consistent, high-level execution, with Ivalua standing out across both of the aforementioned measures.
The report evaluates eight top vendors and scores them against 20 capability categories. Ivalua delivers market-leading features in nine of those areas, while the remaining 11 are rated as meeting all expected standards.
Unified platform and strong configurability
Ardent's highlights that Ivalua’s platform uses a single data model across all modules, allowing for consistency, flexibility and extensibility across its source-to-pay (S2P) suite.
The company’s Supplier Information Management capabilities are rated as “very strong” and suitable for use as a Supplier Master Data Management solution across all organisation types. This means procurement teams can consolidate and manage supplier data in a centralised, accurate way.
Alongside data control, Ivalua’s configurability is emphasised. The platform can be tailored to a wide range of use cases across industries, enabling procurement teams to adapt it to evolving supply chain strategies and compliance requirements. This is bolstered by the system’s built-in AI capabilities.
“Ivalua is proud to be recognised as the market leader in supplier management,” comments Franck Lheureux, CEO at Ivalua. “Despite recognising the strategic importance of their supply base, many organisations still struggle to manage their most critical suppliers effectively.
"With a comprehensive set of supplier information, risk and performance management capabilities, Ivalua empowers organisations to better inform their decisions, foster strategic collaboration and create sustained long-term value from their supplier base."
Gen AI pioneer
Ivalua is recognised for its early and broad use of generative AI, which has been applied to supplier assessment and document analysis.
Ardent refers to the company as a “pioneer in Gen AI adoption,” citing use cases such as summarising supplier assessments and evaluating uploaded documentation.
Its product development and quality management capabilities for direct materials also receive positive feedback.
These tools are essential in industries such as manufacturing, where managing the lifecycle and quality of components directly affects output, compliance and safety. Ivalua’s suite supports tracking, collaboration and performance reviews throughout the supplier engagement lifecycle.
Supplier management as a strategic function
Ardent Partners' 2025 Supplier Management Technology Advisor list positions supplier management as a critical part of broader business performance.
The firm argues that strong supplier relationships contribute heavily to operational resilience, compliance and customer satisfaction. In an environment shaped by regulatory complexity and geopolitical uncertainty, organisations need detailed, current supplier information and resilient systems to manage it.
According to Ardent, supplier management must now be treated as a strategic priority, with modern tools playing a central role in risk mitigation and value generation. Procurement and supply chain professionals are under growing pressure to create agile, informed supplier ecosystems that can weather disruptions and support growth.
Andrew Bartolini, the report’s author and Chief Research Officer at Ardent Partners, concludes with a nod to Ivalua: "Our evaluation and analysis have ranked Ivalua and its solutions as a Market Leader in the 2025 Supplier Management Technology Advisor.
"Ivalua is notable for its market-leading supplier management solution that is part of a powerful, yet flexible, suite that leverages a single, unified platform and data model.”
