Ivalua: Modernising Australian Supply Chain of BAE Systems
Ivalua and KPMG Australia, have confirmed that Defence prime BAE Systems Australia will use Ivalua’s spend management software to digitally modernise its supply chain processes.
BAE Systems Australia, a subsidiary of British-based BAE Systems, will implement Ivalua’s Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform to improve the company’s sustainability and mitigate risk to operations across its direct and indirect supply chain spend.
Why companies are choosing Ivalua
Ivalua is a leading provider of cloud-based, AI-powered Spend Management software.
Its unified Source-to-Pay platform empowers businesses to effectively manage all categories of spend and all suppliers, increasing profitability, improving sustainability, lowering risk and boosting employee productivity.
Trusted by hundreds of the world’s most admired brands and has been recognised as a leader by Gartner and other analysts.
In 2024, Ivalua announced it had been named a Market Leader in Ardent Partners' 2024 Strategic Sourcing Technology Advisor category.
The report evaluated the eight vendors Ardent identified as solution and market leaders in the strategic sourcing space, placing Ivalua in the Market Leaders Quadrant based on its solution and provider strength.
The report put Ivalua into the strong Market Leaders Quadrant, after its assessment yielded a grade of good or market leader in every individual capability assessed. It was praised for its 'robust functionality across all modules'.
How Ivalua will improve BAE Systems Australia
BAE Systems Australia is the country’s largest defence company, operating with a network of over 1,600 suppliers to provide the design, manufacture, upgrade and support services to the Australian Defence Force, cyber intelligence and commercial organisations.
Ivalua’s unified spend management software will provide complete visibility of BAE System’s multi-tiered supply chain through a centralised platform.
This will improve the flow of communication, standardise processes and drive efficiency across BAE Systems’ national supplier network.
With the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) industry the home of an increasing complexity and highly regulated operations, means businesses must operate within the strict quality and compliance guidelines.
Ivalua’s software will provide BAE Systems Australia with a platform to efficiently meet these risk and compliance obligations, including the Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) and Defence Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Andrew Stafford, VP, APAC at Ivalua, says: “We’re proud to partner with a global leader such as BAE Systems Australia to enable their Source-to-Pay transformation.
“Ivalua is perfectly placed to empower businesses in the Aerospace and Defence industry to navigate their increasingly intricate supply chains and proactively manage daily challenges that threaten to disrupt their operations.”
Enhancing automation
The modern process will support BAE Systems Australia’s promise to uplift the development of a sovereign defence industry through improving collaboration between the company’s suppliers and its teams.
Organisations looking to do business in the defence sector will also benefit from Ivalua’s platform as it assists in streamlining increasingly complicated supply chain regulations.
“With its proven track record and expertise in the aerospace and defence industry, robust security standards and ability to provide unparalleled visibility into both direct and indirect spend, Ivalua is the ideal partner for our digital modernisation journey as it will enable us to meet our complex supply chain requirements while enhancing automation and driving greater operational efficiency,” says Shaun Barrett, Supply Chain Director at BAE Systems Australia.
Ivalua has become a global leader in the Aerospace & Defence industry, with its spend management platform serving Rolls Royce, CACI, Teledyne Technologies, SAAB, GKN, MBDA, Thales and Rheinmetall.
