Bornstein is an international procurement leader with 25 years' experience in senior and CPO roles. She has a background across multiple industries, including background telecoms, technology and semiconductors.

In 2021, Bornstein joined VISA as European CPO. In this role she is focused on digital transformation, strengthening business partnerships and the overall operational excellence of Visa's Europe-wide procurement function.

"I ma also a championing of ESG in supply chain," she says. "And I'm a passionate advocate for business-focused procurement, using its unique position in the value chain to deliver new sources of value.

Such new sources of value, she says, include supplier innovation, collaboration "and building a better world".
