Explore Smarter Buying at ABX 2025 in London

Amazon Business Exchange (ABX) returns to London on Wednesday, 5 June with an agenda packed full of procurement insight, digital innovation and strategic networking.
Held at The Brewery, a historic City venue dating back to 1750, ABX offers a full day of sessions and discussions for procurement professionals from across the commercial and public sectors.
The event is free to attend and tailored for purchasing decision-makers, uniting operational leaders and senior voices from across procurement, supply chain and purchasing.
This yearâs theme is âReimagine Your Procurementâ, focused on digital transformation, responsible sourcing and the future of smart business buying.
The event will open at 9am with Amazon Business leaders Amy Worth, Director for EU Public Sector, and Stella Demades, Senior Manager for EU Marketing. They will introduce a day that brings together hundreds of executives and experts to share ideas and strategies that are reshaping the way organisations spend, scale and buy.
Then, Shelley Salomon, Global Vice President at Amazon Business, will set the tone for the day by outlining Amazonâs approach toward responsible growth.
She will be followed by John Boumphrey, UK and Ireland Country Manager at Amazon, who will share how strategic procurement is unlocking efficiency and enabling growth.
An unmissable programme
The morning is set to continue with a session on "How strategic procurement drives growth and unlocks efficiency", featuring Ben Schmidt, Procurement Infrastructure Innovation Manager at Bayer, and Rijk van der Merwe, Commercial Director at The White Horse Federation.
They will share how they influence growth, overcome key challenges and uncover new opportunities through smart business buying.
After, a joint session will take place involving panellists Caroline Heckscher, Head of Procurement at Kingâs College NHS Foundation Trust, Jeffrey Rajamani, Senior Analyst at Forrester, and Melissa Essengue, Senior Manager, EU Corporate at Amazon Business.
Theyâll offer perspectives from both the private and public sector on effective procurement models before the conversation turns to data, value and sustainability in âAnalyst insights: The hidden ROI of responsible procurement.â
The event will also feature some not-to-be-missed breakout sessions from 11am, allowing attendees to select the topics most relevant to them. Themes include data visibility, spend optimisation and integrating procurement strategy with employee recognition.
Speakers range from NHS procurement leads to energy and insurance sector specialists from organisations including AXA UK, Enel and Costa Crociere.
Digital transformation and future forces
After lunch, the day continues with a repeat of the earlier analyst session on ROI in procurement, plus additional opportunities to dive into reducing operational complexity and eProcurement integration.
At 3pm, Coca-Colaâs Director of Procurement CoE, Anthony Breach, joins Siemens Energyâs Matt Scaum to explore digital transformation in procurement in what is sure to be an unmissable session, focusing on how automation, cloud solutions and strategic collaboration are transforming the function.
Stephanie Flanders, Head of Economics at Bloomberg News, will then host a keynote drawing on her experience in global economic analysis, providing context on the external forces shaping the procurement landscape.
As the day comes to a close, a fireside chat with senior Amazon procurement leaders Todd Heimes and Daniel Mendes da Silva will give a direct insight into Amazonâs global approach to sustainable and scalable purchasing.
Finally, the programme's closing remarks precede a networking reception at 5pm. Held in The Breweryâs courtyard, this final session offers the opportunity to continue conversations, make new connections and enjoy canapĂŠs and summer cocktails in an informal setting.
