Zycus: Strengthening Seqwater's Governance & Visibility

Zycus, a global leader in Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions powered by Merlin Agentic AI, today announced that Seqwater, the Queensland Bulk Water Supply Authority, has successfully gone live with the initial phase of its enterprise-wide procurement transformation programme.
Serving millions of residents across South East Queensland, Seqwater is undertaking a strategic shift to modernise its procurement function - transitioning from fragmented, manual processes to a digitally enabled, insight-driven operating model.
As part of this transformation, Seqwater has selected Zycus’ full-suite S2P platform, deploying capabilities through a phased implementation approach. The first phase introduces AI-guided procurement via Merlin Intake, establishing a unified entry point for business users and enabling more intuitive, compliant engagement across procurement activities.
A robust digital foundation
Seqwater has now successfully implemented Zycus Source-to-Contract (S2C) capabilities, including Contract Lifecycle Management (iContract), Supplier Management (iSupplier) and strategic sourcing (iSource). This milestone establishes a robust digital foundation with embedded workflows, enhanced accountability and end-to-end visibility.
The go-live represents a step-change in procurement maturity, delivering:
- End-to-end pipeline visibility, with real-time insights into sourcing activities and award status
- A single, authoritative source of supplier data, improving consistency, accessibility and control
- Supplier self-service functionality, enabling real-time management of compliance documentation and invoice tracking
- Enhanced transparency across risk, value and activity to support stronger governance and decision-making
- A transition to structured, system-driven processes that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency
“This transformation represents a pivotal shift for Seqwater” said André Harvey, Chief Procurement Officer, Seqwater.
“Moving to a single, integrated platform provides the visibility, governance and structure required to manage procurement at scale and support the organisation’s long-term objectives.”
Seqwater will continue to expand its deployment across the Source-to-Pay lifecycle, with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) capabilities planned in the next phase. This will further enhance automation and deliver a more seamless, user-centric buying and invoicing experience.
“Seqwater’s go-live marks a significant milestone in building a modern, intelligent procurement function,” adds Aatish Dedhia, Founder and CEO, Zycus.
“We are proud to partner with Seqwater as they advance toward a fully integrated, AI-enabled procurement ecosystem.”
