Temu and La Poste sign a deal to boost local supply chains, enhance delivery and expand French sellers’ access to global ecommerce markets

Temu and La Poste now stand side by side in a new logistics agreement, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at reshaping ecommerce deliveries in France.

The move brings together La Poste’s domestic logistics muscle and Temu’s fast-growing digital marketplace to simplify supply chains, improve delivery options and support local businesses aiming to scale.

The deal leans heavily into shared logistics infrastructure, carbon efficiency and streamlining local fulfilment. With Temu predicting that local sellers and fulfilment will make up 80% of its European sales, this partnership sets up the foundation to meet that demand.

"By combining Temu's marketplace with La Poste's trusted network, we can make it easier for local sellers to expand their reach in France and beyond," says a Temu spokesperson.

Building a supply chain that fits French ecommerce

Temu launches in France in 2023 and opens its marketplace to European sellers in 2024.

Now operating in more than 90 countries, it connects millions of consumers with manufacturers and brands, leaning heavily into affordability and access.

At the core of this partnership is Colissimo, La Poste’s parcel delivery service, which now collaborates with Temu to simplify ecommerce fulfilment.

Colissimo handles logistics for millions of parcels through La Poste’s wide-reaching network, which includes 40,500 service points across France. These range from post offices and lockers to retailer pick-up points, giving Temu access to a scalable domestic framework for deliveries.

The MOU gives Temu the tools to expand while offering sellers in France practical shipping and delivery solutions. Temu’s promise of affordability meets Colissimo’s physical logistics capability, streamlining the entire order process.

Sanae Murschel, Vice President of International Sales at Colissimo, La Poste Group, says: "As France's leading postal and logistics provider, we are thrilled to partner with Temu to deliver innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions for sellers and consumers."

The MOU lays out three clear areas of focus for logistics: reliable delivery, international fulfilment and streamlined warehousing.

Connecting local sellers to global consumers

One key element of the partnership is end-to-end support for local French sellers. With the introduction of the Local-to-Local Domestic Delivery Service, Colissimo will manage everything from warehousing and packaging to last-mile delivery within France.

Colissimo also brings international experience, helping sellers connect with buyers beyond national borders. This means Temu vendors can access global ecommerce with fewer complications, using Colissimo’s existing routes and fulfilment hubs to ship abroad.

This is especially useful for small and medium-sized businesses, which often lack the capacity or resources to manage international delivery on their own. Having a logistics partner in Colissimo removes many of those barriers.

"This MOU empowers us to strengthen our collaboration with TEMU. By combining our delivery and logistics capabilities with TEMU's innovative digital solutions, we aim to provide more efficient, compliant and convenient services to both sellers and consumers across the markets we serve," says Sanae.

The agreement also reduces the risk of operational disruption. By using Colissimo's warehousing and flow management platforms, sellers get better visibility over inventory and shipping timelines, while consumers benefit from faster delivery and more accurate tracking.

Delivering efficiency with a lower carbon footprint

Beyond speed and scale, the MOU places strong emphasis on carbon reduction. Temu and Colissimo commit to logistics strategies that align with both companies’ environmental goals.

This includes switching to electric delivery vehicles, using eco-designed packaging and developing urban logistics hubs to reduce emissions in city centres. These steps aren’t just environmental targets—they also feed into buyer expectations around sustainability in ecommerce.

Colissimo rolls out several delivery options to meet different customer needs, from same-day delivery in Paris to next-day services nationwide, as well as delivery to retailers and post offices. For consumers, that flexibility turns online shopping into a more predictable experience.

French sellers, especially those new to ecommerce, now have a logistics platform that scales with them. From local to global, the MOU delivers practical, sustainable solutions built around Temu’s marketplace and Colissimo’s national network.

By focusing on supply chain visibility, delivery precision and greener transport methods, the partnership shifts how ecommerce is handled within France. The logistics landscape becomes easier to navigate, while local businesses gain the support they need to reach more customers.

With La Poste’s infrastructure and Temu’s global ecommerce reach, the supply chain just got a lot more local -- and a lot more connected.
