Accenture achievements

Tricia spent almost exactly a quarter of a century there, joining in September 2000.

Over the years, she progressed through the ranks to become a Managing Director and Interim CPO. In the latter role, she oversaw Accenture's indirect procurement function, managing US$10bn in addressable spend across a 1,200-person organisation, reporting to the Corporate Services Sustainability Lead and Office of Cost Management.

Tricia's primary responsibilities included driving strategic direction for category management, sourcing and renewals while collaborating with operations and finance teams – using data-driven insights for internal benchmarking and analysing purchasing behaviour to identify alignment with cost-saving initiatives and ESG priorities.

Major achievements included delivering US$180m in direct savings (13% of scope) plus 12% in cost avoidance, implementing a new operating model across 400 professionals that balanced global and local strategies, transitioning 50% of roles to lower-cost shared service locations and advancing sustainability initiatives.

She contributed to sustainability efforts such as achieving 100% renewable energy, reducing total emissions by 57% from 2016 baseline, eliminating single-use plastics and directing 70% of North America contractor spend to diverse suppliers through engagement with diversity and sustainability councils.

A passion for procurement

Announcing a major step in her career, Tricia wrote: "After an incredible journey spanning nearly 25 years, I bid farewell to Accenture in early June. Taking a well-deserved break of 4 weeks, I utilised the time to declutter my mind and home, while spending time with my family.

It played a pivotal role in significant life events, from meeting my life partner to traversing countries and states enabling me to meet so many incredible teammates and peers in person over the years.

"The decision to depart such an incredible environment was driven by immense excitement for the future. I am delighted to announce my new role at Coupa as the SVP of Product Marketing and Chief Evangelist.

"My passion for procurement's evolution into a strategic business function fuels my commitment to leveraging technology and data for intelligent procurement practices. I aim to infuse customer-centric insights into our marketing strategies, ensuring our clients take full advantage of the solution's capabilities to address their business needs effectively.
