People Moves: Kate Joyce, Veolia

Kate Joyce has been appointed as Director of Global Procurement Transformation Projects and Corporate Social Responsibility at Veolia.
She moves from her role at the company's subsidiary, Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions.
Diverse professional experience
Kate brings more than 20 years of diverse professional experience to her new position, with a career spanning entertainment, e-commerce and industrial procurement.
She first honed her procurement expertise at Groupon, where she worked as Senior Buyer for four years. During this time, she launched home divisions for the Groupon Goods website and managed complex vendor relationships across bedding, bath, home décor and furniture categories.
Kate's foundation in transformation and change management was built during a five-year tenure at Proxima, where she rose from Senior Consultant to Principal Consultant in Procurement. This period gave her vital skills in business transformation and large-scale project delivery, which later became invaluable during industry shifts.
In September 2022, she played an active role during the consolidation that saw SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions become Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions, navigating complex changes while ensuring continuity.
Delivering strategic procurement objectives
Since November 2021, Kate has demonstrated an impressive ability to maintain operational excellence while steering through organisational transformation.
Her new, expanded role now incorporates responsibility for corporate social responsibility alongside global procurement transformation projects. This reflects Veolia’s growing commitment to embedding sustainable business practices within its global operations.
Kate’s combined expertise in procurement, project management and business transformation positions her strongly to deliver Veolia’s strategic procurement objectives while advancing the company’s sustainability agenda.
