How LG and LogisValley are Reimaging Logistics

LG Electronics (LG) is venturing into smart logistics, enhancing its smart factory advancements.
The business has announced a collaborative agreement with LogisValley to merge their capabilities, aiming to create next-generation logistics solutions.
This partnership aspires to provide customised smart logistics to meet the evolving demands of global customers.
The collaborative strategy
LG is leveraging its expertise in robotics and digital twin technologies, while LogisValley, acknowledged as Korea’s largest integrated logistics firm, contributes its proficiency in logistics centre design, construction and management.
LogisValley operates more than 50 logistics centres globally, extending its reach to numerous clients across domestic and international markets.
Through this collaboration, LG and LogisValley plan to enhance their global influence.
They will work together from the earliest design phases to ensure the seamless integration of LG’s smart factory technologies, fostering full operational efficiency in new logistics centres.
Lim Young-bin, Chairman of LogisValley Group, says: “Our collaboration brings together LogisValley’s smart logistics platform and LG’s advanced factory technologies."
“Together, we will accelerate innovation across logistics and manufacturing and strengthen our global competitiveness.”
Utilising LG's technological edge
LG brings a transformative array of smart factory technologies to this partnership, promising to streamline logistics operations effectively. Key assets include industrial robots, digital twin-based production system designs and Gen AI-driven process, safety and quality management systems.
With LG’s robots, there is potential for automating labour-intensive tasks like box picking, thereby reducing packaging errors and increasing efficiency.
This elevates logistics operations to a cutting-edge level of innovation. LG's competencies in optimising space use, drawn from managing substantial manufacturing component volumes, enable efficient guidance of outbound processes.
LG’s digital twin technology can simulate logistics environments virtually, assisting in designing effective workflows with real-time monitoring capabilities.
Staying ahead in a fast-growing market
Beyond offering these advanced logistics solutions to external clients, both companies plan to apply them internally, maintaining competitiveness and relevance within this dynamic market.
According to Fortune Business Insights, the global smart logistics market is projected to expand from US$88.1bn in 2025 to $212.8bn by 2032. Hence, maintaining this innovative momentum is crucial for LG and LogisValley as they endeavour to leave a significant mark on the industry.
“This partnership is a major step forward in becoming a trusted partner in the fast-growing smart logistics industry,” adds Jeong Dae-hwa, head of LG’s Production-engineering Research Institute.
“By leveraging the logistics expertise we’ve built through operating our Lighthouse smart factories, we aim to create real value for our customers.”
Beyond the smart logistics focus, LG and LogisValley are enhancing their global presence further with a commercial development project in Vietnam, which includes a six-star hotel and shopping mall.
Here, LG supplies various products, including advanced hotel televisions compatible with Apple AirPlay and Google Cast.
