Ivalua and Unite unveiled a partnership giving buyers access to 2,000 vetted European suppliers, boosting spend visibility and sustainable sourcing

Enterprise AI procurement platform Ivalua is working alongside Unite, a European procurement platform connecting buyers and suppliers for fair and sustainable business.

This partnership will allow Ivalua customers to have more control over their tail and non-contracted spend by accessing Unite's network of over 2,000 vetted European suppliers directly within Ivalua, enabling more efficient, transparent and sustainable procurement operations.

This will see an integration between Ivalua's enterprise AI platform and Unite's compliant, catalogue-based marketplace infrastructure, empowering organisations to streamline supplier management, consolidate long-tail purchasing and increase spend visibility.

Widening access to vetted suppliers

Customers can obtain access to Unite's network of pre-vetted European suppliers and manage non-contracted spend digitally through Ivalua. Buyers will be able to search, compare and purchase from Unite's supplier network while maintaining their existing Ivalua workflows, approval processes and compliance controls.

"Partnering with Unite gives our customers an even stronger procurement ecosystem," says Gabriel Giret, VP Alliances at Ivalua.

"Unite's marketplace adds breadth, compliance and supplier diversity to the Ivalua experience, empowering organisations to make smarter, more sustainable purchasing decisions with simplicity and control."

This will also see improvement to Ivalua's Search360 technology by providing instant access to products not covered by existing contracts, while also allowing Unite to incorporate customers' contracted supplier catalogues and make them available across both Unite's website and Ivalua's Search360.

The Search360 feature allows users to search for an item across local and external catalogues in a single search session within Ivalua's user interface.

This simplifies the search experience and reduces the time spent sourcing items.

Supporting sustainable, informed purchasing

Customers stand to benefit immediately, gaining access to expanded catalogues, easier connections with localised suppliers across Europe and clearer data to support stronger financial oversight and more informed decision-making.

The partnership also supports sustainability objectives, making it simpler to identify responsible suppliers and source locally – reflecting Unite's commitment to fair competition and robust regional ecosystems.

"Ivalua and Unite share a commitment to simplifying procurement for modern organisations," adds Zachary Rubio Grundell, Head of Global Partner Management at Unite.

"Together, we're making it easier for companies to discover trusted suppliers, streamline purchasing and build more resilient, sustainable supply chains."

It continues Ivalua recent improvements to its platform, which includes its Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA), which streamlines AI agents, moving them away from atop fragmented data and disjointed systems, as the IVA Studio claims to allow procurement teams to perform any activity across the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process through a single agent.

Ivalua says that its IVA tool will know your data, follow rules set by the user and “get work done on day one”, as the IVA Studio tool works as an AI control tower, managing IVA’s skills, permissions, tools and MCP integrations.

Speaking to Procurement Magazine about what can IVA do now that your procurement team couldn't do six months ago, Alex Saric, CMO at Ivalua, said: “The big change with IVA, now powered by IVA Studio, comes down to a few things. One, it's moved to a single agent model, so this one agent can actually do everything in the entire source-to-pay process that a user can within the platform.

“Probably most excitingly, it can do it right away. You don't have to integrate anything; there's no extra work to configure use cases. This really moves to a much simpler experience to engage with, but it also means that procurement can drive much more complex processes that can free up much more time for them to focus on what people do best, which is relationships and strategy.”
