Honda Unveils New Last-Mile Delivery Venture, FastPort
Honda has announced its new B2B last-mile delivery business, Fastport, which will launch the zero-emission Fastport eQuad prototype.
The eQuad, a zero-emission alternative for last-mile logistics, will enhance sustainable delivery operations, improving efficiency and reliability.
Its prototype has undergone pilot testing in New York City, trialling usability and effectiveness.
Transforming last-mile delivery
Established by Honda in 2023, Fastport aims to revolutionise the last-mile delivery industry with its new technology, introducing solutions to a high-cost sector of the supply chain.
Through Fastport, Honda will enter new markets in Europe and North America. Fastport plans deliveries of first edition vehicles by late 2025, with a plan to begin mass production in the summer of 2026.
To meet customer needs across European and North American market, the eQuad will be customisable dependent on delivery size and operations.
Fastport will offer large and small vehicles, as well as cargo box containers, making the eQuad suitable for a range of customers. The prototype can carry a maximum payload of 295kg/650lb, and reach up to 12mph/20kph.

The Fleet-as-a-Service model
Fastport’s Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) cloud-based model enables businesses to choose the most cost-efficient and optimal delivery operation for their specific requirements.
This comprehensive model provides software-defined platform features, service and maintenance plans as well as real-time insights. As a result, drivers can be more efficient with deliveries, and fleet-management operations can run more smoothly.
The company expects to unlock continuous improvements and updates over the vehicle’s lifetime, ensuring the products can maintain high performance by leveraging the latest cloud-based services.
Alongside AI-powered dashboards and swappable batteries, the eQuad is designed for efficiency in every step of the delivery process.
