The AI in Procurement Award category celebrates organisations harnessing the technology to transform how procurement operates

AI is no longer an experiment in procurement. In a function once defined by manual processes, spreadsheet-driven analysis and reactive decision-making, AI has rapidly become the engine behind a new generation of procurement leaders who can predict supply disruption, automate transactional workloads and surface insights that were previously invisible.

It is these organisations that have moved beyond pilots and proofs-of-concept into scaled, measurable AI adoption that the Global Procurement Awards' AI in Procurement category recognises.

Taking place on 8 September at the iconic JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, the Global Procurement Awards will bring together the world's most influential procurement professionals for an exclusive black-tie gala dinner.

The ceremony will honour the companies and individuals transforming the profession at scale.

Celebrating the intelligent enterprise

The AI in Procurement Award celebrates the successful integration of AI within procurement processes. It recognises organisations using AI to enhance efficiency, insight and strategic decision-making, not as a technology initiative, but as a business imperative.

This is an award for organisations that have deployed AI thoughtfully, embedded it responsibly and demonstrated what a difference it makes to their teams, their suppliers and their bottom line.

These awards highlight the people and projects redefining excellence in procurement and supply chain. In today's challenging global landscape, recognising innovation, resilience and impact is vital to inspiring progress across the profession.

How to Enter

How to enter

If your organisation has deployed AI tools, platforms or models within procurement over the past twelve months — whether to automate sourcing, enhance spend visibility, improve supplier risk management or accelerate contracting — this award is for you.

What our judges are looking for:

  • Integration: How has AI been embedded into day-to-day procurement operations?
  • Measurable impact: What improvements has AI delivered you organisation?
  • Decision-making and efficiency: How has AI changed the quality or speed of procurement decisions?
  • Learnings and innovation: What can the wider procurement community learn from your implementation?

Previous winners of the AI in Procurement Award include globally recognised organisations such as Uber, recognised not simply for deploying AI, but for the rigour and responsibility with which they did so. Uber's win centred on embedding ethical AI governance into its procurement processes, addressing bias mitigation, data integrity and continuous monitoring to ensure AI-enhanced decision-making while upholding fairness and compliance across its global supply chain.

Why these awards matter

The value of this recognition extends well beyond the trophy. Entering the Global Procurement Awards places your organisation in front of senior procurement leaders and global industry decision-makers, and positions your AI programme as a benchmark for the profession.

As AI adoption accelerates across the function, the gap between organisations that are implementing it strategically and those still finding their footing is widening. Being recognised in this category signals that your use of AI is not experimental, but embedded, governed and delivering real results.

It is also an opportunity to shape the conversation. With AI ethics, transparency and accountability increasingly under the spotlight, showcasing how your organisation is deploying AI responsibly matters as much as the efficiency gains it delivers.

Winners and shortlisted entrants become reference points for how the wider procurement community approaches AI adoption: what good looks like, what pitfalls to avoid and what is genuinely possible.

Above all, it is a chance to celebrate the teams behind the technology. AI transformation in procurement does not happen through software alone. It happens through people who challenge existing processes, build the business case and drive adoption across complex organisations. This award recognises that effort.

Entries for the Global Procurement Awards 2026 are now open. The shortlist will be announced in August, with the ceremony taking place on 8 September at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. Entries Close 29 June 2026.

Co-located with Supply Chain LIVE and Sustainability LIVE on 8 and 9 September, the event brings together professionals across procurement, supply chain resilience and ESG in a single location, reflecting an era in which technology, operations and sustainability strategy are increasingly inseparable.
