Digital solutions, data-driven insights are huge these days in the procurement and supply chain arena. How crucial would you say they are in advancing responsible trade and transparency?

There are a lot of growing expectations from customers, NGOs and stakeholders which are building sustainability frameworks for companies to report on. 

Companies are expected to have clear sustainability commitments as well as effective ESG strategies in order to build those transparent, ethical and sustainable supply chains. 

In order for them to do this they need timely, reliable and transparent data, and digital solutions are coming in to help companies know where to allocate resource and investment.

Focusing specifically on amfori ESG Risk Compass, how does that solution support companies with their supply chain strategy?

So amfori ESG Risk Compass is an amfori solution that helps members identify potential ESG risks across their supply chains. You can think of it as a dashboard that translates complex data and analytics into easily understandable ESG risk signals.

It has 20 indicators across the ESG pillars, and covers more than 150 countries. Companies are coming to us to use this tool because it helps them move from having a reactive approach to risk assessment and management to having a proactive one.
