The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH), tasked with healthcare regulation across the region, is keen on boosting the area's reliability and readying it for future challenges.
Developed with input from both local and global stakeholders, the hub is a testament to Abu Dhabi's mission of delivering dependable and equitable vaccine access. H.E Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health β Abu Dhabi, emphasised: βThe operational launch of Abu Dhabiβs regional vaccine hub signals our readiness to serve the region with speed, precision and reliability.

This distribution hub stands as a collaboration among prominent regional leaders, orchestrating a sophisticated supply chain effort.
Managed by Rafed, a PureHealth subsidiary, alongside contributions from the DoH, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), GSK, AS Ports Group, Etihad Cargo and KEZAD Group. Boyd Chongphaisal, Vice President and General Manager of GSK Gulf, echoed the shared commitment: βThe launch of our vaccine distribution hub in Abu Dhabi represents a shared commitment to health security, innovation and access.

The operational strategies implemented in this hub, particularly the deployment of smart distribution technologies by Rafed, ensure vaccine integrity and real-time visibility across the supply chain.
