Meet the speakers
Matthew Harris, CPO, Logistics & Services at Maersk
Matthew is the Global Head of Procurement, Logistics & Services at A.P. Møller-Maersk, based in Copenhagen.
In this role he is responsible for all procurement activities related to Maersk’s operations in Landside Transportation, Contract Logistics and Customs Services.
He leads a team of procurement professionals based in more than 70 countries and is responsible for a spend portfolio of more US$10bn.
Matthew has spent over 25 years in the supply chain sector. His journey began in the automotive sector, where he gained valuable experience working for logistics companies in operational management roles, overseeing transport and warehousing operations, before transitioning into project management, focusing on supply chain efficiency and logistics network optimization.
After setting up and running his own transportation business, Matthew made the move into Procurement, initially in capital and engineering procurement in the mining and building materials sector, followed by time spent leading logistics, capital and facilities management procurement in the retail and pharmaceutical industries.
In addition to his ‘in house’ procurement roles, Matthew has worked in consultancy, where he supported clients in procurement transformations, strategic category planning and complex sourcing project delivery, in numerous industries and countries worldwide.
Stuart Farrell, Chief Procurement Officer at AllPoints Fibre Networks
Stuart is a highly regarded Procurement Senior Executive with a proven track record globally of leading large scale functions, driving transformational supply chain programmes, leaning into process improvement, innovation and technology underpinned by great people and a one team ethic.
With 25 years experience he holds chartered status and is committed to sustainability, partnership and continuous improvement.
Alexander Tschentscher, Head of Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy at Siemens AG
Alexander responsibilities for the supply chain of the future in the Siemens Industrial Business: Smart Infrastructure.
As the Head of Supply Chain Excellence and in addition leading the Program Management Office Supply Chain Strategy, he is the mind and soul of the strategic direction in supply chain and logistics.
In his former position in Siemens, Alexander was responsible for logistics as well as procurement in the Siemens’ Industrial Business Smart Infrastructure Business Unit: Distribution Systems.
Culture transformation and motivating the change as well as creating ‘something new’ is a revolving pattern in his path with appointments in management consulting, procurement and commodity management, project management as well as logistics.
He holds a Diploma in Business Administration of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany.
Etosha Thurman, Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer at SAP
Etosha is the Chief Marketing & Solutions Officer for SAP Intelligent Spend and Business Network.
In her role, Etosha is charged with strengthening the company’s go-to-market approach and driving product marketing across SAP’s intelligent spend solutions and the SAP Business Network.
Previously, she was Head of Sales and Client Engagement with Capital One, where she led the Treasury Management sales team through transformational change with a focus on delivering an engaging and impactful customer experience. Etosha was originally with SAP from 2010 to 2019 in a variety of customer-facing and cloud roles with SAP and SAP Ariba.
Etosha is a two-time Silver Stevie Award Winner in the Female Executive of the Year – Business Services category and was ranked #12 in Procurement Magazine’s Top 100 Women in Procurement listing. Additionally, she was recognized in both Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2023 Women in Supply Chain and Pros to Know listings.
With experience in software as a service, cloud commerce, financial services, customer success management and global materials procurement, Etosha is a collaborative, results-oriented client executive and strategic leader. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of Cincinnati and is a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Etosha resides with her family in the metro Atlanta area.
