Procurement and Supply Chain Live: Aurélien Faucheux
Despite only joining Aston Martin four months ago, Aurélien Faucheux, Head of procurement at the company, took to the Procurement and Supply Chain Live stage with ease.
“The Aston Martin vision is quite simple, to be the most agile and efficient luxury car manufacturer in the world”, said Faucheux.
Aston Martin has recently launched Project Horizon, which Faucheux explained targets each area of the company.
“If you cannot get the basics right, you cannot do anything.”
Faucheux outlined the project:
An efficient and coordinated Procurement department, able to fully implement and deliver AML’s Business Strategy
Establishment of a robust, strategic supply base, that can support AML’s key objectives and deliverables
Drive correct practises and performance improvement increasing skills retention and operations efficiency
Process, training, tools
Continued focus on defining best practice and improving established knowledge combined with implementing the right tools to achieve goals
“We must strengthen our brand, operate at a world class level through increased capability, state of the art technology and modern processes”, said Faucheux.
