What are Honda's Top Indirect Suppliers in North America?

Automotive giant Honda has recognised more than 30 suppliers during the company’s annual Indirect Procurement Supplier Conference in Dublin, Ohio.
Across North America, the company says it purchased more than US$7bn in equipment, materials, products and services from more than 5,600 suppliers in 2025.
Each year, Honda manufactures more than 1.5 million cars across Canada, the US and Mexico, it says.
Elly Bradford, Director of Development and Manufacturing of America, Indirect Procurement Division at Honda, says: “As we continue to invest in the growth of our business in America, we are working closely with our indirect suppliers to increase our speed to market and offer even greater value for money to our customers.”
AWS's infrastructure
Honda recognised AWS this year with a sustainability award.
AWS says that Honda has procured its services since 2014 to establish technological infrastructure for data connectivity and storage.
When building a platform for its 2020 models, AWS says that Honda turned to its Professional Services business to launch a serverless platform and deploy it across Japan, Europe, India and Thailand.
This deployment used AWS CloudFormation, an infrastructure as code service.
Speaking on the 2020 platform, Yozo Takehara, Assistant Chief Engineer from the Global Platform Department at Honda, told AWS: "AWS Professional Services gave us great advice in areas such as scalable architectures and system recovery and constantly provided proactive suggestions.
“The project proceeded smoothly thanks to not only their dedicated technical assistance but also their business support.”
IBM's generative AI
IBM says that it has helped to boost Honda's efficiency using AI-driven knowledge extraction.
A 67% reduction in documentation modelling time was achieved by extracting data from presentations, according to IBM.
Honda deployed IBM's Advanced Expert System and Watsonx platforms which also helped to save time in development and planning and management, IBM says.
Shigeto Yasuhara, General Manager, Senior Chief Engineer at Honda, told IBM that its "innovative solutions and the platform that securely leverages our vast amount of development information are contributing to our dream of delivering more value to our customers".
