Chad Gaydos, CEO of Procurify, says AI is evolving beyond automation and using spend data to support smarter purchasing decisions

Procurify, an AI-powered spend management platform, has launched its agentic procurement platform, introducing new capabilities designed to help organisations take action using their own data.

The launch reflects a wider shift in procurement technology, as businesses and corporations increasingly explore AI solutions that can improve spend visibility, streamline purchasing workflows and support more informed decision-making.

Rather than focusing solely on automation, Procurify’s latest platform aims to enable AI agents to support procurement activities across the intake-to-pay process, using organisational purchasing patterns, supplier information and approval processes.

Agentic AI supports procurement automation

Procurify’s new platform introduces Guided Intake, Order Autopilot and a rebuilt agent-powered accounts payable (AP) engine. The capabilities are designed to help finance and procurement teams reduce manual processes while maintaining visibility and control over spending.

The move highlights how procurement technology is moving beyond traditional automation. While previous solutions focused on digitising manual tasks, agentic AI aims to use existing business data to support actions across purchasing workflows.

Guided Intake helps employees create purchase requests through a conversational interface, apply approval rules and identify missing information before requests are submitted.

Order Autopilot also uses historical purchasing data to assist with coding order details, including vendors, budgets and general ledger information.

For procurement leaders, this development reinforces the growing importance of spend intelligence when evaluating technology platforms.

Solutions that can understand purchasing behaviour and provide actionable insights are becoming increasingly valuable as organisations look to improve efficiency and strengthen financial control.

Spend visibility becomes a procurement priority

Procurify has previously focused on using AI to improve spend management by connecting procurement, accounts payable and purchasing workflows within a single platform.

The company’s AP automation capabilities aim to improve invoice processing, automate matching processes and provide greater visibility across spending activity.

As procurement teams face continued pressure to deliver efficiency improvements, access to accurate and centralised spend data is becoming a vital requirement.

Chad Gaydos, CEO of Procurify, explains: “Every decision we make comes back to one question: Does this create unparalleled value for our customers? Today’s launch confirms that.

“When your procurement platform knows how you buy, your finance and procurement teams stop managing the process and start multiplying their impact. That’s the value we commit to deliver.”

Procurement enters a new phase of AI adoption

The latest platform launch builds on Procurify’s wider focus on using AI to transform spend management.

In 2024, the company introduced AI-powered capabilities designed to improve accounts payable processes, including invoice automation, three-way matching and greater visibility between procurement and finance teams.

By connecting procurement activity with real-time spend insights, Procurify aims to help organisations improve financial control while reducing the administrative workload associated with purchasing processes.

As AI adoption continues across procurement functions, organisations are increasingly assessing technology providers based on their ability to combine automation, data visibility and governance.
