Leaders from NHS Supply Chain, DB Schenker and Siemens will take to the stage at Procurement and Supply Chain LIVE London, happening on 24 and 25 September.

Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE is excited to announce the addition of four new speakers who are set to feature at London's premier industry event.

Andrew New, CEO at NHS Supply Chain

Andrew New, CEO, NHS Supply Chain

Andrew joined NHS Supply Chain as Chief Executive Officer in September 2021 and has focussed on leading the organisation as it continues to develop a modern and agile supply chain.

Under his leadership, a new operating model has been designed to realign the organisation to the changing needs of the NHS through enhancing its critical capabilities as well as standardising and integrating its ways of working. 

Through its people, processes and technology, NHS Supply Chain is implementing its strategy to buy smart, supply right and partner expertly, to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first. 

Prior to joining NHS Supply Chain, Andrew was the Executive Director for Procurement and Supply Chain at JCB where he was responsible for the Supply Chain globally.

Andrew has also held senior roles at Magnox Ltd (now a subsidiary to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) and Babcock International Group PLC and brings experience across the retail, leisure, engineering and property sectors.

He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and BSc in Chemical Physics from the University of Bristol.

Sophie Drakopoulos, Global Ocean Freight Sustainability Manager at DB Schenker

Sophie Drakopoulos, Global Ocean Freight Sustainability Manager, DB Schenker

Sophie is a sustainability enthusiast driving eco-friendly solutions within DB Schenker Ocean Freight.

With over 8 years in Freight Forwarding, she holds bachelors and masters degrees in economics, specialising in logistics.

Focused on sustainability at DB Schenker's Hamburg team, she also completed an additional Master's in Sustainability at Kühne Logistics University.

Sophie's pragmatic approach and analytical skills fuel her commitment to urgent progress in maritime sustainability by collaborating with fellow industry experts to propel positive change forward.

Alexander Tschentscher, Head of Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy at Siemens

Alexander Tschentscher, Head of Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy, Siemens

Alexander carries responsibilities for the supply chain of the future in the Siemens Industrial Business: Smart Infrastructure. 

As the Head of Supply Chain Excellence and leader of the Program Management Office Supply Chain Strategy, he plays a critical role in driving the strategic direction of Supply Chain & Logistics.

In his former position in Siemens, Alexander was responsible for logistics as well as procurement in the Siemens’ Industrial Business Smart Infrastructure Business Unit: Distribution Systems.

Culture transformation and motivating the change as well as creating “something new” is a revolving pattern in his path with appointments in Management Consulting, Procurement & Commodity Management, Project Management as well as Logistics.

He holds a Diploma in Business Administration of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany.

Alexander is married, has one child and is based in the region of Munich, Germany.
