Nestlé recently announced the appointment of Jacob Busk Nielsen as its new Group Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and CEO of Nestrade, marking an exciting new chapter for the company’s procurement division. Jacob steps into the role with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to driving innovation, sustainability and operational excellence.

In his new position, Jacob will lead Nestlé's global procurement efforts, building on the strong foundation laid by his predecessor, Patricia Stroup. He commented: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Patricia for her guidance and support throughout this transition. Patricia’s wealth of knowledge and experience has been invaluable and I am privileged to build upon her legacy.” 

Reflecting on his journey so far, Jacob shared his excitement: “It’s with immense gratitude and excitement that I step into this new role. I’ve had the honour of travelling to our hubs in Panama, Malaysia, Switzerland and Greater China, where I’ve seen first-hand the immense talent, dedication and passion within our procurement team. Together, we will drive continuous supply and cost improvement while championing innovation, sustainability and excellence.”

Regina Arriagada, Nestlé’s Global Head of Procurement Technical and Logistics, also celebrated the news, stating: "Congratulations Jacob! I look forward to working closely with you to continue making our Global Procurement function stronger."

Jacob’s vision for the future is clear – he aims to build on the legacy of responsible sourcing and sustainable growth while continuing to innovate. As he steps into this leadership role, he brings with him a collaborative approach and a determination to strengthen Nestlé's procurement practices, ensuring the company remains a leader in the industry.
