Exclusive video: Coupa and Mastercard on virtual cards

Mastercard's Chad Wallace & Rajiv Ramachandran of Coupa discuss the use of virtual cards as a procurement management tool

The recent Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE NY Virtual event featured a panel discussion looking at accelerating the use of virtual cards for procurement management.

On the panel was Chad Wallace, who is Global Head of Commercial Solutions at MasterCard, and Rajiv Ramachandran, SVP Product Strategy & Management, Coupa Pay at Coupa Software

Wallace told the global virtual audience that MasterCard has “built products and services in order to facilitate these types of transactions in the virtual-card use cases”.

He added: "We work closely with procure-to-pay platforms and banks and FinTech partners to be able to offer these types of services in products to our customers.”

Ramachandran said: “One thing very important for enterprises is reconciliation. Virtual cards allow people to see transactions, such as purchase orders and invoices – which is typically what procurement teams need.”
