Andrew New, CEO of Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL) for the NHS will be speaking at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE LONDON

Andrew New joined Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL) for the NHS as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in September 2021.  

Prior to joining SCCL, New was the Executive Director for Procurement and Supply Chain at British multinational manufacturer JCB, and was responsible for the Supply Chain globally.  New has also held senior roles at Magnox Ltd (now a subsidiary to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) and Babcock International Group PLC, and brings experience across Retail, Leisure, Engineering and Property sectors. 

He has extensive experience in business transformation programme leadership, total lifecycle cost management, customer and supplier engagement and deploying technology to optimise business operational performance. 

He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and BSc in Chemical Physics from the University of Bristol. 

SCCL is a company which was registered in England and Wales on 25 July 2017 to manage the new NHS Supply Chain operating model, adopting its current company name on 15 November 2017. It was set up by the Department of Health and Social Care in 2018, and was intended to save £2.4bn, within a 4 to 5 year period. SCCL oversees the continuous improvement of the operating model and delivering of supply chain excellence and value to NHS trusts. They are committed to becoming the strategic procurement partner of choice for the NHS by evolving services and making them fit for the future, in line with the needs of the NHS and in a sustainable way.
